Sonnet I*Sonnet I
For every star that from the heavens lights And disappears beyond horizon's end, The oceans from below another send, Reflecting up to meet it, just as bright, Thus matching star for star; so every night When lonely eyes see such a gleam descend And wish on it their fractured hearts to mend, Never was thought more meetly matched with sight.
For when the thought occurs, sky mirrors sea In sending, and the wish a double finds Within another heart, whose harmony Makes a celestial union of two minds. So as each star its likeness must embrace, Each s


EventideThe nightly hours come creeping in One by one; their shapes are soft And dim, and they reflect Those bluish clouds the sunset spreads Across our sky, to cover A world going to sleep.Eventide
They were once Day, Now become Night they keep awake, Guarding someone's dreams, Wearied with the weight Of being time's watchmen. When the stars are alight And the mist has settled, Then, quietly, they will ask each other: How was your day at work?
